We’re Moving Structures, an instrumental post-rock/metal band based in Los Angeles, and we’re looking for a new bassist to round out our lineup.
We’ve been playing together for a while, have released an full length album, and we’re currently writing new material for our next release. Our sound mixes heavy, dynamic riffs with ambient textures. Influences include, but not limited to: Russian Circles, If These Trees Could Talk, Jakob, TOOL, Caspian, ISIS, Pelican, ETC. No vocals.
We’re looking for someone who:
Has solid rhythm, tone, and a good ear for layering with guitars and drums
Is comfortable playing with odd time signatures and dynamic shifts
Can practice once a week in the LA area (usually weekend afternoons or evenings)
We’re all working professionals, so while we’re serious about the music, we also keep it low-pressure and fun. We’re ideally looking for someone 25–40-ish who’s into this style of music and wants to collaborate, write, and eventually play shows again.
If you’re interested, send us a little about yourself:

Previous bands or recordings (if any)
Any links to performances or music
Gear rundown, if you’ve got one
We’ll send you some music and maybe a demo or two to check out. If it clicks, we’ll jam and go from there.
