ROCK BASSIST - GLAM / PUNK / METAL (North Hollywood)

My name is Chris - I'm a 48 year old from the Bay Area and have been in all kinds of bands since my teenage years.
I've been getting adjusted to living in North Hollywood for about a year and now that things seemed settled, I think it's time to find some like minded lost souls to play music with. Although I can play drums, guitar, keys and electronics, I'd have to honestly say that bass guitar is my strong point.
The last band I was in, two years ago had a Bay Area Thrash kinda sound.. it was fun, but probably not the greatest fit for my true style. My gut feeling is that I belong in a 77' Sunset Strip style blues-punk band, with a sleazy gothic vibe.
LA Guns / Faster Pussycat / Dogs D' Amour / Dolls / Hollywood Brats / Hanoi Rocks - that kinda thing.
Although I'd love to try a hang with a younger crowd, it probably won't work.
I'm pretty serious about my day job and make a decent living. For the most part, my party days are over..
Drinking and all that, while I always love it, tend to get me in trouble, so I need to stay away as much as possible.
I definitely don't have any delusions of rock stardom, been there done that.. I'd just like to get together with some familiars, get some good rock n' roll cookin' and play local shows. If we get good enough, I'm all about making a record and playing out of town.
Without dropping any names, I have been in some pretty good bands, made many records and spent a lot of time on the road.
I'm not sure if this post is actually going to attract people or send them away, but I have to be real.
I want to play music, that's it... whatever happens beyond that, I guess we'd have to see!
