OK this is a long shot....I would like to sing and play guitar in a Replacements tribute band that would eventually evolve into something original. Playing guitar in an original band called The Cursed Machine and drums in another band but would like to scratch this itch. There is a cover of Tak'n a Ride at www.reverbnation.com/mikeoclock that turned out pretty good with me "singing". I was thinking "I Don't Know", IOU, Bastards of Young, and Shiftless When Idle to get started. Maybe some Husker Du and other obscure covers. Looking for a guitar player. I found the perfect drummer and bassist to get this off the ground. Low to no stress/pay situation and just want to have fun.

We are meeting at Pirate Studios in Silver Lake and have about 20 songs. The originals have a Hot Snakes, Mudhoney, pretty much any band on Touch and Go or Amphetamine Reptile feel. The working band name is "The Shiftless Idols".
