Python or Max/MSP for music technology (West Hollywood)

I'm looking for someone who uses Python or Max/MSP in their music projects. I have experience with Reason and Ableton but I'm interested in learning algorithmic composition in Python, cymanic music visualization, and building projects similar to the Inspired by Nature devices in Ableton's Max for Live.
