The Olympus IS-3000 was the best of the ZLR ("Zoom Lens Reflex") series from Olympus, which started all with the IS-1000. For instance, see the video from Azriel Knight about the IS-1000:
This camera was a bridge, between small compacts, and real 35mm SLR systems. It does take 35mm (135) film, and it does have a HQ 35-180/4.5-5.6 Zoom with ED glass element built in. Besides from a bit barrel distortion, IQ is really fine from that pinnacle of these ZLR series.
