Here's some of what I think I know:
The Briscoe Motor Corporation made cars from 1914-'21 in Jackson, MI.
It had an unusual single headlight until most states required them to have two.
I've seen this hubcap design used on these vehicles as a hubcap, radiator cap and gasoline cap on these cars.
I suspect this style is only used on the radiator cap when a much taller, similar designed radiator cap can't be found.
To me it appears the gasoline cap is smaller than this one and closer in size to the radiator cap.
Thus, I suspect this may only be a hubcap for the Briscoe motor car.
Could it be for some other part on the car?
Or if you think it's for something else entirely, please enlighten me.
I've seen photos of these being brass on 1914-'17.
I've seen a photo of one being nickel on a 1916.
What year could this one be?
