I'm currently employed as a Clinical Direct Support Professional (DSP) and have extensive experience as a Caregiver. My current client for over two years is Autistic and non-verbal and has other neurodiverse challenges. He is a remarkable young man who is resilient and brave and loves life.
My agency has decided to require AT LEAST a bachelor's degree to maintain a one-on-one support which I do not have. I am seeking a similar position utilizing my DSP/ABA experience continuing what I enjoy and am very good at. The IDEAL position will ALSO include utilizing my extensive Caregiving experience.
Previously to my current job, I was the Caregiver for two elderly clients where I was responsible for ALL ADL tasks, including dispensing and maintaining medications, personal hygiene including incontinence care, transportation, errands, and cooking. I have experience interacting with multiple medical specialties and terminologies including Physical Therapy.
Fully vetted with excellent professional references including current agency, Federal/State background checks, Live-Scan, TB screening, and am fully Covid vaccinated. Current certifications in adult and adolescent CPR and First Aid, DSP, CPI (conflict prevention intervention), ACRES, with RBT training. I am in excellent physical shape and a non-consumer of alcohol.
My preference is to avoid agencies if possible. Location in the Northridge/Granada Hills/Porter Ranch area including Reseda, Tarzana, Woodland Hills, Simi Valley, are all possibilities. My hourly rate is $22.00 per hour at approximately 35 hours per week. I would consider a Live-In position, where LOCATION AND COMPENSATION is negotiable including relocation.
