Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Walking Floor Driver and take charge of transporting to landfills. This energetic role offers the opportunity to operate a walking floor trailers, to ensure smooth and efficient delivery processes. As a vital part of our logistics operation, you’ll be responsible for safely moving goods, maintaining vehicle integrity, and supporting Transfer station operations with your driving expertise. Key Responsibilities
Operations: Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (Class A) to transport materials to landfills, transfer stations, or customer locations.
Equipment Management: Operate the hydraulic Walking Floor/moving floor system to unload materials. Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure trailer, floor, and hydraulic systems are safe.
Loading/Unloading: Ensure materials are securely loaded and properly discharged using the automated floor system.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies (e.g., tarping).
Documentation: Maintain accurate paperwork
Maintenance: Perform minor maintenance, such as cleaning out the trailer, ensuring the floor system is clean, and reporting mechanical issues. YouTube +5
Requirements & Qualifications
License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Experience: Typically 1+ years of experience with heavy hauling or specialized trailer operations (walking floor experience is highly preferred).
Skills: Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, weight distribution, and DOT regulations.
Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb into the trailer, and work in varied outdoor weather conditions.
Record: A clean driving record is usually required. Indeed +4
