This Heliodyne solar hot water heater is currently in operation and will be decommissioned when we replace our roof in the next month. It consists of two Gobi 408 solar collectors and racking; HPAK heat transfer appliance with solar controller, circulating pumps, heat exchanger, valves and gauges; expansion tank; and 120 gallon solar storage tank with 4500 watt electric backup heat. This is a top quality system that has been in service for 15 years and should have decades more life for the next owner. Southern California has too many cloudy days for this system to make sense here. It belongs somewhere with more consistent sunshire.
