Rare historical ancient silk textile fragment- called double Ikat - the most complex and earliest weave known- specifically this is patan patola double ikat- dates back to 12th C or earlier
Piece is framed for preservation
And had been museum displayed.
Features bride, parrot and other folk art symbol of the ancient period and place . This is an antique heirloom treasure - these were used on the silk road as currency
Woven in ancient India- Gujarat
Only one other fragment has been known to exist of this weaving pattern.
