Lot of 7 hardback books by Lawrence Block featuring burglar Bernie Rhodenbarr, a New York City-based thief who excels in lock picking and breaking and entering. Addicted to the thrill it provides, Bernie's thefts are usually well-planned and executed. However, during the course of some of his burglaries Bernie encounters a dead body, usually just before the police arrive to investigate a tip. Bernie served time in prison in his youth, and since then has resolved to avoid returning which involves investigating the murder.
Great lunch-break reading, by-the-fireplace reading, before-bed reading, and in-the-waiting room reading.
These Lawrence Blocks books would be a great addition to the home library's of fans of Robert B. Parker, Michael Connelly, Ed McBain, John Sandford, Lee Child, and Sue Grafton.
