This is a skin-on-frame kayak I designed and made myself last year to use in long-distance races. It is not for beginners. It will require very good balance skills. If you are not an experienced paddler, then it is not for you. It comes with 2 custom-fitted float bags worth $500. I make and sell these bags at customfloatbags.com. One is just for floatation. The other will store gear as well as provide flotation. The kayak is made of red cedar stringers, keel, and gunwales, over steam-bent oak ribs with an oak cockpit coaming. The skin is acid-dyed ballistic nylon from https://www.skinboats.org/ with a polyurethane coating. The hull features a V-shaped stern with multi-chine from the seat forward.
