A hard cover book titled Fight On. About USC Football from the John McKay on and all of the Heisman winners. It has a forward by Ronnie Lott who has an award named after him. It is signed by the first Heisman winner Mike Garrett. The book belonged to my friend and neihbor Cliff who was a sports writer in that era. Just a side note, SC had beat Notre Dame in L.A in the 64 game. Next year in South Bend the crowd was chanting, remember remember, remember. At the opening kickoff the Ref's gun went off just as the SC return man was trying to catch the ball and fell to the ground. McKay shouted, oh my God they shot him.
