This is an original 11” x 14” framed photographic portrait of Henri Moissan, the French chemist awarded the 1906 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for isolating elemental fluorine and inventing the electric arc furnace. Below the image is what appears to be Moissan’s authentic hand-signed signature, neatly matted and preserved.
🧪 Provenance: From the estate of Leo Brewer, a renowned American chemist known for his high-temperature chemistry research and work with molybdenum. Brewer was a key figure in the Manhattan Project and one of the most respected physical chemists of his time. This piece comes from his personal collection.
