I have a bag full of vintage international coins. There’s about 325-350 circulated coins. These are from: Europe (multiple countries), Canada, Mexico Caribbean, Hong Kong, Mexico, South America, etc. I’ve sorted them all into individual bags. The date ranges are from early 1900s to 1960s. I also have a small bag of current (1990s) Costa Rica coins that I’m throwing in. For someone that has patience to list these separately and sell them individually and/or in groupings, I’m sure you can make some money, but it would be a ‘labor of love’, since researching is time consuming.
On the other hand, these would be a fun school project to learn about the different currencies (and history) of each country. So, it could just be an educational project, or even artistic, as I’ve seen people selling homemade bracelets with these vintage coins.
There’s no way to accurately value what all these coins are worth. From my research, the bulk are probably worth 25 cents to a couple dollars.
Note: I’ve already spent hours and hours filtering out any of the coins that have silver content, so they are not in this large collection.
This would be for someone that wants to sell them to collectors, or make a fun artistic project with these coins, or give them to your international friends.
I’ll sell the entire collection for $50, obo.
If no one is interested, I’ll just donate them to a charitable organization.
