About the Role
My Asian Nanny is looking for compassionate, experienced bi-lingual Mandarin-, Cantonese-, and Filipino-speaking nannies to care for newborns and infants across California.
This role is perfect for caregivers who love supporting new parents during the early months, are culturally sensitive, and can communicate in English as well as their native language.
Families may include first-time parents, bilingual households, or mothers recovering after childbirth who appreciate a nurturing, professional nanny experienced in traditional care practices.
Key Responsibilities
Provide hands-on newborn and infant care (feeding, diapering, bathing, soothing, safe sleep setup)
Maintain a calm, organized, and hygienic environment for the baby
Communicate daily with parents in English or Mandarin / Cantonese / Tagalog about feeding, sleep, and milestones
Assist with baby-related tasks (laundry, sterilizing bottles, organizing nursery items)
Support new mothers with rest and light postpartum care as requested
Respect each family’s cultural traditions and privacy
Qualifications
At least 2 years of recent nanny or infant care experience
Fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese, or Tagalog (plus English)
CPR / First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Reliable, warm, and professional demeanor
Flexible for live-in or live-out assignments
Schedule & Duration
Full-time or part-time placements
Typical live-in assignments run 30 days up to 1 year (extensions available)
Live-out roles offered on set weekly schedules
Openings throughout Los Angeles, Orange County, San Jose, and other California cities
Compensation
$30-$40 per hour depending on experience
Room and board included for live-in roles
