Life size sitting Buddha. Very large (3ft7in. 1.11m) in black lacquered carved wood with gold tones. Seated in the Bhumisparsa mùdra, or gesture of taking the earth as witness.

Numerous chips and cracks in the lacquer, but very fine presence and high quality workmanship.
