Well establish International Sales Agent, and North American Film Distributor is looking for an awesome, energetic, and resourceful Acquisition Specialist to join our team. Person will be responsible for scouting/acquiring feature films and series for domestic and international distribution and licensing. This is an onsite position with some flexibility working at our office east of downtown LA.
Ideal candidate should have a strong interest and knowledge of motion pictures and the independent films world (in other words, love to find and watch films!). They should be able to clearly articulate a film's pluses and minuses with reviews and recommendations. As an in-office position, we are expecting solid office skills, good organizational skills, accurate tracking of activities, as well as the ability to identify and clearly communicate with film owners; via email, phone, zoom, and in-person.
Expected personality traits; person should be adaptable, self-starter, motivated, with a can-do-attitude and be goal driven; be personable and persuasive with a professional demeanor, ethical and able to handle confidential matters.
The position is entry level, but a sold still-set of office and computers skills are expected (pc or mac). Additional language skills are a plus, but not required. This isn't a production job, and that skill is not an asset.
