See/Hear on YouTube this Upright Bass Being played
Imported by Pearce Music in 1964.
Gary Upton inspected this bass and guaranteed the former owner that it is a Wilfer.
He looked it over when he was in Salt Lake City and stated it definitely is a Wilfer Bass.
It’s the real deal killer sounding Wilfer all solid carved wood 5 string double bass!
Strung with low B and E Pirastro Perpetual strings,
and the A D G strings are D’Addario Zyex.
Sounds rich with these strings.
Dimensions:
45-1/2" back length bottom to top of neck heel
43" string length nut to bridge
20-1/2" wide upper bout
26-3/4" wide lower bout
9" wide ribs, side depth of bass
7-1/4" wide rib depth where upper side meets neck heel
It had some cracks that are well repaired and holding tight.
