Selling my 1980 Gibson Grabber G3 bass, a true vintage gem from Gibson’s late-’70s/early-’80s lineup. This G3 features the original trio of Bill Lawrence pickups with the classic toggle switch for that signature bright, punchy, and growly tone. Built in the USA, it’s solid and versatile.
Overall, it’s in great shape for its age with normal cosmetic wear but no major issues. Recently set up at Old Style Guitar shop. At one point a previous owner added some type of switch which has been removed and the original wiring restored. The original bridge cover is included. Neck is straight, frets are healthy, and everything works as it should. Just cleaned, set up, and ready to go.
Hard to find these in good condition. A killer piece for players and collectors alike. Open to trades for Musicman Stingrays or fretless basses.
