Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic, organized technical support associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer literacy and be adept at managing various tasks (ie troubleshooting equipment, customer service etc..)
Primary duties and responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
• Provide technical support to merchants, customers, and internal teams regarding credit card processing systems, payment terminals, software, and related services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving payment transactions, card readers, POS systems, gateways, virtual terminals, and merchant accounts.
• Assist customers with setup, configuration, and maintenance of payment processing equipment and software.
• Diagnose transaction errors, declined payments, connectivity issues, settlement problems, and integration-related concerns.
• Guide users through troubleshooting steps and provide clear technical instructions by phone or email.
• Monitor support tickets and ensure timely resolution while maintaining accurate documentation of incidents and solutions.
• Assist with software updates, system configurations, and product enhancements.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and development teams to improve customer experience and system reliability.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism and effective communication.
Common Technical Skills Required
• Experience troubleshooting POS systems and payment terminals.
• Knowledge of credit card processing workflows (authorization, capture, settlement).
• Understanding of networking basics (Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, routers, firewalls).
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in technical support, help desk, payment processing, POS support, or customer service roles preferred.
• Knowledge of credit card processing systems, payment terminals, merchant services, and transaction workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, routers, and internet connectivity.
• Ability to prioritize multiple support requests and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document issues and resolutions.
• Ability to communicate clearly & effectively orally and in writing
• Minimum of 1 year experience in technical support
We are not an agency. This is a direct hire position with a 90-day probation period. Wage is based on experience and includes benefit options after 90 days.
