Hi all! I'm looking for a roommate to share an extremely clean, furnished, and renovated 2B2B at Midvale Towers (1441 Midvale Ave, Westwood).
Location: The building is located in a really nice section of Westwood that is between Ohio Ave and Wilshire Ave. The neighborhood is very lush, quiet, and walkable, which is rare for Los Angeles. We are extremely close to big retailers/groceries (CVS, 99 Ranch, 711, Bristol Farms, Sprouts) as well as mom-and-pop shops (Saffron & Rose, Thai cafe, Emporium Thai). Multiple bus stops are genuinely minutes away (starting from our unit), and campus is only 15 minutes away by bus and 20-30 minutes by walking (I walk nearly everyday).
Room: YOU WILL HAVE A HIGHLY-SUBSIDIZED FURNISHED ROOM. My roommate is willing to sell everything in the picture for very cheap (~$200-$300). The room is a corner unit, so you have your own private balcony and massive windows. Your bathroom is accessible only from your room. The water pressure in the bath is strong. The bathroom has a window to release moisture as well.
Duration: 1-year lease, from late August to late August 2026. Renewable every year.
Parking: Tandem 2-car parking, but surprisingly plenty of street parking!
Furniture: We have a smart TV, sofa-futon (for friends to stay-over), lamps, and a few tables & chairs. My current roommate and I happen to be minimalist, though tidy and clean. I'm more than happy to do interior decorating with you!
Laundry & Dryer: Communal, on the same floor (just 10 seconds from the unit).
Central Heating & AC: In-unit
Gaming & Smart TV: Netflix, Youtube, Nintendo Switch (Smash Ultimate, Mario Kart, etc.)
Views: The unit has a big balcony with a rather nice view of Westwood. Sometimes, I sit outside to eat a calm breakfast. In evenings, I find city's lights to be refreshing. Your room has nice big windows for lots of natural light.
Price: $1950 per person ($3900 total), not including utilities ($50–80/month per person). Rent is, admittedly, on the higher end, but the quality, location, and convenience make it worth it. I made the switch from a much cheaper (but equally nice and renovated) unit in Sawtelle and do not regret it!
