Lavina Fontana's Christ and the Samaritan woman at the well, restored beautifully framed. No signature, but most likely one of ItalianLavinia Fontana (1552-1614) paintings. Professionally restored. The image is an illustration of the biblical scene according to Gospel of St. John 4.6- Jesus at Jacob's well. Of Lavinia Fontana 135 works - largest corpus of artwork by any woman from Renaissance or before - only 32 are signed and dated.
