This Chickering artcase piano was made in Boston in 1875 when Chickering was still ahead of Steinway and was the number one highest grade piano in the U.S. and the world. Artcase pianos are one of a kind highly decorated custom built pianos that are never duplicated. It has an appraised value of more than $75k. The restoration cost alone was more than $12K. A similar Steinway artcase piano was appraised at $75k back in 1890 which would be more than a $million now. Some artcase pianos are worth several million such as the one in the White House.
