This blue military-spec screw-post binder contains a chronological history of flight operations for the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress and the Douglas C-47, featuring early-war dates that are nearly impossible to find in original "Restricted" print.
The "Holy Grail" of the Set:
• B-17E Pilot’s Flight Operating Instructions: Original, dated July 15, 1942. This is a pre-G model early-production manual. Finding a 1942 original in this condition is a rarity.
• B-17F Flight Operating Instructions: Original, dated August 1, 1943. Covers the legendary "F" model (the Memphis Belle era).
Additional Technical Documentation:
• C-47 / C-117 / R4D Series Flight Handbook: Comprehensive technical manual with original diagrams.
• Safety of Flight Supplements: A detailed, multi-page log of technical revisions and safety updates (dating through the 1960s). This provides a rare "service life" history of the aircraft's operational standards.
