For sale is a made-in-Italy 2005 Colnago Mix with Columbus Airplane (aluminum) tubing and a carbon fiber B-stay seat stay. The main frame is beautifully designed with different tube manipulation. The top tube has an octagonal shape, while the down tube is bi-conical. The seat tube is round, and the chain stays are uniquely shaped with 4 flattened sides oval shape tapering to round at the rear dropouts. It's got a full Campy Veloce 10 speed aluminum gruppo, (53/39 front rings, 12-25 rear cassette, 172.5mm crank arm length, 42cm handlebar length) including the bottom bracket and hubs. The wheels are standard, machine-laced Ambrosio semi-aero rims and Michelin pro-comp tires. It's a beautiful bike, with nicely matched sidewalls and bar tape to the baby blue on the paint. Selle Italia Prolink saddle, ITM bar and stem, a carbon fiber seat post, and Look Keo pedals.
The frame size is a "Colnago 55". The effective top tube is 54.3cm, with a 14.3cm headtube, and approximate angles of 71.5° headtube and 73° seat tube. It's not a light bike by today's standards (18.5 lbs), but if you like riding history, and the legendary geometry of Colnagos, then this is the bike to add to your collection! It is sort of rare nowadays...good luck finding one of these for sale. I'm only selling because I haven't cycled 10 years. The bike is in great condition - nary a scratch! Definitely no dents. I've never been down on this bike.
This bike has very little miles on it, as I used to be crazy about bikes and had about 10 high-end roadies. Plus, this bike was my "SoCal ride" as I live in Portland, OR and would ride it when I came to visit my family. It is currently in Hermosa Beach, and my brother will show the bike, but he's not a cyclist, so all questions should be directed towards me. If you're interested about the bike, I can be on FaceTime to answer any questions while he's showing it to you. I can provide additional pics upon request, i.e. "send me a close-up of the left front top tube".
The last two pics is just to show you that I'm not lying- I had a lot of nice bikes. Haha! Sold all my carbons, and now I'm going to sell all but a few classic steel bikes.
Asking $700 OBO. The silver campy component group is worth close to $400 alone due to the high demand of silver 10 speed gruppos. Many cyclists prefer to use silver 10 speed gruppos, instead of the more period correct downturn shifters, onto classic steel frames.
