Original owner of this size large 2018 SIR 9 (design unchanged since then) that I performed a complete restoration on last year with a balleur build with all new parts and custom ultralight bags, all of which has less than 300 miles since then. I have had some incredible trips on this bike and it served me well but I’m no longer riding it and don’t have the space for it. It checks all the boxes for a reliable bikepacking build, from comfortable geometry to tire clearance to bolt-on frame bags to the EBB for a bailout single speed.

Pictured complete but price of $1650 is for the rolling chassis without brakes/drivetrain/pedals/saddle, everything listed below cost me over $3200 in parts last year. No brakes/drivetrain/pedals/saddle, otherwise all the other bits are there and ready for your personal build. All the goods include:

- Flawless custom powdercoating with Prismatic Universe color by Darkmoon Fabworks, dark grey Niner decals (spares included), frame saver sprayed inside generously
- Custom ultralight Rockgeist bolt on Frame bag (fully featured) + Medic bag + Jpaks top tube bag in ultra 400 black magic with matching zipper pulls. Bottom compartment sized for an Apidura bladder (can sell you a brand new one). ($650+)
- Brand new 130mm Fox 34 float fork, fit4 damper with Syncro bolt on mudguard (30 miles on it, decals removed, but QR code is there to register the warranty), steerer tube cut to fit a 30mm wolf tooth headset spacer
- NOS Industry Nine 27.5+ Backcountry wheelset w/ Torch hubs + bolt on thru axles + spare spokes
- x3 Vittoria 2.6” tires - 1 pair of Mezcal (XC Setup) + Barzo front (downcountry setup), setup tubeless with muckoff valves
- Thomson dropper (no trigger included), seatpost clamp, and 70mm stem
- SQ Labs 30x bars - 16 deg backsweep + 45mm rise
- Squid bikes eccentric bottom bracket (made by white industries, the finest EBB around) with complete extra rebuild kit (bearings and hardware) and shims - HAS NEVER CREAKED ON ME
- Crane Creek Hellbender 70 Viscoset upper headset, 110 premium lower headset
- Spare derailleur hangar + single speed hangar and all original parts included with the frame

Local pickup available in Santa Monica, CA, or can ship at your expense for actual cost of an insured shipping label via bikeflights + what my local bike shop charges to box and pack it (about $150).
