Hi
I can offer you to sail on my boat in exchange for help to maintain it.
You will learn how to maintain a boat and how to sail it.
Enjoy the fun of being on the water and access to boats without the expense of owning one.
Few years ago, I put the same add in Craig List and a lot of people contact me
Today I am upgrading my boat, a Catalina 38 and need help with many things to be finish.
Installation of a Windlass, Radar, Instruments, Bimini, Dogger, Fridge, Stove, Varnish, Rigging, Electricity, Painting and more.
I can make an exchange with people who want to help and learn more on how to maintain a boat. This is the best way to learn how to sail and to maintain a boat, especially if you want to have your own one.
If you want to buy one sooner or later, I can help you because I am a professional.
I start to sail when I was 18 year and latter had a boat yard for many years in Brittany, France. Iwas selling, renting and maintaining any kind of boats with a crew of people working in my business.
For thus who don’t have time or don’t want to do the work, you can exchange by making a donation through a sailing association this will help to buy material for the boat and we will have fun going sailing together.
In both case you will be a member of this association.
Some people who have done this with me are very happy with the exchange and became very good friend.
Read the testimonial.
My boat is base in Ventura Harbor and we can go sailing to the island close by.
Let behave like adults, if you take an appointment with me, you expect me to be respectful and to be there. I expect the same from you. If you are not sure to respect your engagement, don’t take this appointment.
Also, when you answer me, give me your email and phone number and I will do the same.
Feel free to ask me questions and I will answer them.
I am looking for a people willing to learn and to have fun.
TESTIMONIAL
I had the opportunity to partner with Jean-Luc on several different occasions and it’s been an incredible experience. In exchange for helping repaint the bottom of his boat, I received sailing lessons that were both hands-on and highly educational. Beyond just teaching me the ropes, he generously shared his knowledge of sailing and boat maintenance, and even helped me repaint the bottom of my own boat. The exchange has been fair, practical, and rewarding—I’ve gained valuable skills while being part of a supportive boating community.
I can’t recommend his program highly enough for anyone interested in learning to sail while giving back through meaningful work.
