Position Summary
The After-Hours Program Coordinator is responsible for providing operational oversight outside of normal business hours for TDS and SLS services. This position ensures continuity of services, timely response to staffing needs, compliance with agency policies, and support for participants, families, and direct support professionals during evenings, weekends, holidays, and other designated after-hours periods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as the primary after-hours management contact.
Respond to staff call-offs and arrange coverage.
Coordinate emergency staffing.
Coordinator may be required to report to the assigned shift and provide direct support services until appropriate coverage is secured.
Provide guidance to direct support professionals regarding participant care.
Respond to participant, family, and Regional Center concerns as appropriate.
Monitor for missed clock-ins, missed visits, and schedule issues.
Review and document after-hours incidents.
Notify executive management of critical incidents requiring immediate attention.
Maintain an after-hours communication log.
Ensure continuity of services during staffing emergencies.
Follow Title 17 regulations and agency policies.
Perform other operational duties as assigned.
Schedule
Expected availability:
Monday–Friday: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
on call weekends
Actual work hours may vary depending on agency needs.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum two years of experience in developmental disability services.
Knowledge of Supported Living Services preferred.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to make independent decisions during emergencies.
Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
Current CPR/First Aid certification.
DOJ/FBI clearance and all required background checks.
