It is well known that instruments bearing signatures from these two American musical icons/legends are hard to find, and it is extremely rare to have a vintage American instrument signed by BOTH OF THEM.
This Telecaster was originally purchased from a Merle Haggard's session guitarist in Nashville, TN who had the guitar signed by Merle Haggard in 1998 (in black color) and by Willie Nelson in 1999 (in blue color). All of the signatures have been authenticated by a reputable vintage collectable appraisal company, and the original certificate of authenticity will be included with the sale. This is a rare and special American Vintage Fender Telecaster that represents a true Americana, bearing signatures from two of the biggest names in American Country music history.
The instrument itself plays well with authentic vintage tone. The bridge pickup has more 50's than 70's tone. The electric components appear to be original, although some of the solder joints appear to have been touched up. The pick guard appears to be either a replacement or one from 50's. The original frets are quite low but are still playable. It comes with the original Fender Tolex hardshell case.
