Hello and thank you for viewing my posting. Up for sale is a Lionel O gauge scale 753 coach car in aluminum paint finish from the streamliner set City of Salina which was cataloged 1934-36. The car is without a vestibule, which I do not have, but is otherwise complete, and appears to have all its original parts. The sheet metal parts are virtually all straight and without oxidation, but the die-cast zinc underbelly is just slightly drooped at the very ends of the casting. Most of the aluminum paint finish is original, but there appears to be some touch-ups on each side of the car in the areas between the upper row of rivets and roof, and between the lower row of rivets and underbelly. The paint on the sides and roof has some not to noticeable small imperfections, but the paint at the very ends of the underbelly is noticeably worn on the top curved surface of the casting–this type of paint wear is somewhat consistent with the large streamliner cars that have been run. The rubber-stampings appear to be original and virtually all complete and bright. And the frosted celluloid window strips are complete and undamaged–interestingly, the stamped sheet metal retainers for the window strips are painted in Hiawatha orange. Note: The condition of the paint and rubber-stampings on the side of the car not pictured is approximately the same as on the pictured side.
