I used to go to Belgium three times a year and would visit many famous breweries and aged ales bars. Aged Belgian Trappist and barrel aged ales from progressive Belgian craft breweries like De Struise Brouwers were my absolute favorites. I would also trade with local Belgium residents I met thru FB groups. I would bring US craft IPAs, sours and barrel aged Stouts and they would trade me aged Westvleteren, Gulden Draak, Gouden Carolus, St Bernardus, Struise, and many other amazing ales that aren't really exported here.
I have a huge collection of the best of US Craft as well and a nice cache of the most renowned Germans and World beers.
I am relocating out of the country so I would like to find new owners for as much of these as possible. I don't drink much anymore and want to store as little as possible. I have cracked some nice ones recently, as old as 12 years aged and they were all phenomenal. The key to cellaring is consistent temperature.
I also have a huge liquor collection consisting of about 150 unopened and opened bottles as well as over 700 1-4oz samples and minis of mid to high end Whisk(e)y (Bourbon, Scotch, Japanese, Irish, Kavalan and other World Whisky/Whiskey), Brandy (Cognac, Armagnac and other Eau-de-vie), Rum, Rhum, Liqueurs, Absinthe, Tequila, Mezcal, Gin and more, that I am also letting go of and have organized into a spreadsheet. I showed pics of some of that in another listing. Trading and buying samples was my favorite and most addictive part of the hobby. Lets you try things at a fraction of the cost of a bar, especially our local ones. Many pours that would never see offered in your favorite bars as well.
