We are seeking a talent business coaching specialist that can work on a project basis with local small businesses. The objective is to provide results-driven support and advice that will assist small businesses to scale and grow.

Responsibilities (but not limited to):
• Leverage past experience creating and implementing small business training programs that generate measurable results in small business capacity and readiness to grow.
• Assist in design of outreach efforts and marketing initiatives to generate project interest and participation by local businesses.
• Manage full ownership of the client onboard process from initial interview process through identifying the most appropriate services to be customized for each client. Must be available to meet with clients at their place of business in the Los Angeles area as required.
• Collect information from small businesses and generate a thorough needs assessment based on past professional experience working with small business enterprises. Must possess familiarity with wide variety of small business operations including retail, online, brick and mortar, restaurant, food and beverage, and service businesses.
• Ability to contribute, monitor, and help ensure that program services and requirements are met per contract obligations.
• Provide hands-on leadership in all phases of services to be provided to clients.
• Monitor, track, and adjust monthly performance to ensure that portfolio of small businesses are supported and appropriate services are being rendered on a timely basis.
• Interface with subcontractors and help ensure that tasks supporting clients are performed appropriately and on a timely basis.
• Interface with business coaches and assure that services are rendered in a professional manner, are relevant to clients, and able to be utilized by clients on a long-term basis.
• Ensure that marketing materials generated by team accurately reflect client branding and DNA.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.
Desired Skills/Experience (but not limited to): *
• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, entrepreneurship, or similar fields is required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience providing support and guidance to individual small businesses in the Los Angeles area.
• Proven expertise meeting the unique management and administration needs of early-stage diverse small businesses including women, minority, and veteran-owned businesses.
• Expertise providing expert guidance and advice in key areas of small business growth including: access to capital, capacity building, personnel and HR functions, branding, marketing, and sales.
• Demonstrates cultural agility and commitment to inclusivity reflecting the diversity of the City of Los Angeles.
• Experience executing relationship-based approaches to community development, collaboration with local organizations, and delivering mutually positive impact.
• Thorough working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital platforms including Zoom, Monday, Otter, and others.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to take direction and adapt to changing priorities.
