I have a 2011 Honda Civic GX (Natural Gas), former Honda Rose Bowl Parade Vehicle. I bought this car used in 2013 and it had like 1,100 miles on it and it was in pristine condition. The car still looked and smelled brand new. It was a Honda Certified used vehicle that came with a 100k mile warranty. Fast forward to September, the car was hit while it was sitting in front of my house by one of the neighbors that lives about 8 houses down, so he couldn't have been traveling that fast. The damage wasn't that bad, but I pushed to have the car totaled by Caliber Collision. Well that's what happened. The car was deemed a total loss and I bought the car back from the insurance company and fixed it on my own through my network of friends. The car is back to better than before the wreck condition. All of the VIN numbers match on every panel, so you know that the car couldn't have been wrecked that bad. Save yourself some time, money and a headache sitting in traffic. Honda stopped making this vehicle in 2014, so these cars are extremely rare. The Carpool lane is open to single occupant Natural Gas vehicles through 2019. At which time they will be re-evaluated by the DMV for single occupancy Car Pool Lane Access. The Toll Roads are free to natural gas vehicles on the 10 and 110 freeways and/or with 3 or more occupants on all Toll Roads. The price is firm.
