YOU WILL NEVER FIND A T3 IN THAT PRISTINE CONDITION WITH SUCH A LOW MILEAGE.
This beauty of a van has taken me from Mount Shasta down to the tip of Baja.
I Bought it in September 2024 at California Westys in San Diego (if you need a reference to verify that I would happily give it to you)
One owner before me always stayed in San Diego, there is no rust on the van.
Being from Europe, I went on a surf trip with the van from September 2024 to March 2025. I went from the very north of California all the way down to the very south of Baja in Mexico.
It was one of the best journeys of my life (drove approximately 8000 Miles).
And it's so much fun to drive, this old school feeling is unique.
I need to leave the US in a few months, so the van is looking for a new owner...
When I first got interested in buying a T3, I looked for the perfect van for 6 months, I wanted one that looks as new as possible, with low mileage, but most importantly I wanted the inside to be fresh and clean.
I looked at hundreds of them online, all saying the same bullshit, they were extremely dirty, full of rust and mileage generally over 130 000. Until I found this one, what was reassuring was that I bought it from California Westys (Cesar) a passionate team dedicated to VW T3 for 25 years (if you don't know them, you should check them out). I did the PPI with Charlies' Foreign Cars in Encinitas (I have the document available of course).
Everything is original on the van except the sound system that I changed last year and the wheels that I upgraded for BF Goodrich and rims manufactured by California Westys especially for T3 model (see in the pictures)
Pop-up part has been used very little, so condition is almost new.
The AC, stove and sink are functioning perfectly.
Original curtains and mosquito nets.
I have all the original documents (even the original invoice of the car in 1988) and services of the car.
The most recent work completed was the change of the transmission to a completely new one for $4500 (I have the invoice).
I am in Malibu during the week and in Dana Point/San Onofre on weekends.
