This is one of the few ready to race Europa race cars in the country. It is a 1970 Type 65 S2. Races in vintage EP class or put a license plate and street tires on it and you've got the only Europa at Cars and Coffee.
-Engine is a 1725 Renault 843 Hemi Crossflow with 2 hours of track time, it was recently built by Lotus Prepared by Claudius with forged Carillo ceramic coated pistons and rods, steel sleeves, and Isky custom mild race cam. Running 10.5/1 compression on pump gas.
-Twin Italian Weber DCOE 45s. Electronic 123Ignition distributor with a custom curve.
-Aluminum flywheel with steel friction surface.
-Dyno tuned by Ed Pink Racing Engines to 143hp.
-5-speed Renault 395 gearbox.
-Banks-designed Twin Link rear suspension (takes load off axles and stiffens the rear end.)
-Adjustable links and adjustable coilovers at all corners.
-Tilton hydraulic brake setup with twin master cylinder and adjustable balance.
-ATL bagged fuel 5gal fuel cell in front, fire suppression, Banks cage, etc.
-Panasport Ultralight race wheels.
-Full belly pan made of resin-coated, aircraft-grade spruce leans up the normally nasty underbody aero.
-Carbon race seat, with second fiberglass passenger seat not installed.
-No title but does have vin plates and is a Federal car, so can be titled and driven on road.
-Has raced last three years in the VARA series. Includes logbook. Note that although this engine was raced in these cars in-period, it is not homologated by FIA and may not be allowed in a very strict vintage series.
