CNC Engineer, Operator and Programmer for high-end Custom Cabinetry and Architectural Millwork Company.
Full-time position.
JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Operating and Programming
• Work in collaboration with Project Management and Production team
• Be informed about jobs schedule and expectations: client, architect, designer, GC, etc.
• Verify dimensions, identify and rectify issues with project managers prior to running programs
• Follow Company drafting templates and standards
• Running and Operating of CNC
• Use of AutoCAD, B-Solid, and/or other softwares
• Set up machine for various tasks, including: Nesting, Pods, 5-Axis
• Offer creative solutions
• Know how to write programs independently
• Understand woodworking and take pride in work
• Maintain machine and tools
• Calibrates machine and tools and remains in close communication with office
• Deals with tech services
Shop and Office
• Attend weekly production and scheduling meetings
• Work with, interact, and collaborate with our team in the shop and office
• Write and respond to all emails promptly and professionally
• Assist with IT support for software
• Work on/order samples, templates, and prototypes
QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years minimum experience in cabinetmaking and drafting
• 3+ years minimum experience programming and operating CNC machinery
• Proficient English communication skills - both written and verbal
• Proficient in reading and comprehending shop drawings and architectural plans
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or other drafting software - iX woodCAD|CAM, EnRoute, Biesse Works, B-Solid
• Multitasker - must have ability to manage more than one project
• Ability to adhere and adjust to job schedules and deadlines
• Be observant, proactive, take notes, ask questions and make recommendations
• Must have transportation and smartphone
