It was good enough for the Nixon White House (enough to help destroy it) and now this piece of history can be yours (ok, it's the same exact model, but to my knowledge it was never near the Oval Office). Sony TC-800 3-speed tape recorder, built-in speaker, microphone, takeup reel, all tested great (see pics and video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWSiCFxWeYA). Heads and pinch roller are clean. Has mic input and external monitor output (mono only). The original AC cord is included and the battery compartment is clean (I don't have 8 D cells to check that operation). The cosmetics are pretty good but it shows use and dust. I have not performed a deep cleaning but it's clearly been well taken care of and is quite a nice piece of collectible analog goodness.

I will use only Craigslist mail relay or chat for communications. Any obvious scamming, third party nonsense or attempt to skirt the system will be ignored. Not my first rodeo. Questions happily entertained. Cash, Venmo, Zelle only, no exceptions. Thanks for looking!
