Jade Beverly Hills on Canon Drive is seeking an experienced kitchen manager looking for the opportunity to open and grow with a new sushi focused concept, offering a casual upscale experience with small plates, crudo, rolls and a limited kitchen menu, as well as wine, sake and cocktails.
Our ideal candidate has previous experience and is looking for a new challenge: lead a BOH team to execute our menu and recipes and work together with FOH to create a classy, casual dining experience for our guests.
We aim for a successful dinner and dine in/take out lunch service, with plans to add a late night service at a later date. The menu has already been developed, but there is also an opportunity to put your own influence upon the food as well!

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen and sushi bar activities, helping to appropriately divide tasks and build a smooth lunch and dinner service
- Manage and train kitchen staff, including leads, cooks, dishwashers
- Oversee sushi bar and kitchen prep, following a previously designed menu and recipes, with opportunity to modify/grow the menu as needed!
- Collaborate with the FOH manager to ensure transparency, communication, and teamwork
- Maintain Cleanliness and organization of the kitchen/prep area
- Ensure compliance with Health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.

Qualifications:
- strong leadership and communication skills
- English speaking, reading and writing
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Kitchen leader/manager.
- Minimum of 2 years experience with rolls, crudo and light fish preparation
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Food Handlers certified, Manager certification is a plus.
