We are looking for a friendly, motivated, hardworking and savvy Catering Assistant to join our Clementine team!
Clementine is a well established bakery and cafe with two locations - needless to say we do a big catering business! We are looking for a Catering Assistant that can maintain an excellent level of customer service for our catering customers. We are looking for someone who can acclimate to any situation and troubleshoot at a moment's notice. Must be a self-starter, multitasker, great communicator, focused individual, reliable and computer literate [Gmail, Google Apps, Brink Software, Catering Software and any extra computer knowledge is always a plus!]. This job is perfect for someone who enjoys a busy restaurant atmosphere and loves talking to our very loyal customers. This position is full-time with a rotating schedule. Must be available to work Saturdays. There is plenty of growth potential in this position and at Clementine. This position will be based out of our Century City restaurant.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Manage incoming phone calls and emails
-Assist the catering manager with private or corporate event catering when needed
-Communicate with kitchen staff and delivery drivers to make sure orders are accurate and on time. Speaking Spanish is a plus but not required.
-Use our catering software system: entering orders, generating prep lists and updating menu selections and configuration
-General Restaurant Tasks and responsibilities
-Help facilitate holiday orders
-Help facilitate menu change as directed by manager.
-Work alternating opening and closing shifts
Communication, interpersonal and listening skills at an elevated level.
Assistant will sometimes be first of contact and will need to approach things professionally and warmly.
Team Player (help where needed)
Self Starter, able to find tasks to work on without much direction
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Dependable and reliable.
Confidentiality at all times. (email, phones and meetings)
Stellar customer service with a knack for maintaining great client relationships. Personally invested in helping others and assisting the managers.
Understanding the Clementine voice and culture.
