We’re looking for an experienced baker to join our sourdough bread production team — someone who cares deeply about fermentation, dough strength, precision, and the craft of naturally-leavened bread. At Häsi, we’re known for our vibrant bi-color sourdoughs, fresh-milled grains, and thoughtful process. For eight years, we’ve been building a loyal community around exceptional bread. Häsi started in a home kitchen and has grown into a full sourdough bakery serving farmers markets, restaurants, grocery partners (like Erewhon), and our first retail café. Our production team is the heart of the operation — shaping, mixing, baking, and caring for bread that people genuinely love.
What You’ll Do
Mix, scale, and handle high-hydration sourdough doughs with consistency
Shape boules, batards, baguettes, and specialty products to Häsi standards
Manage fermentation timing, dough temperature, and quality throughout the day
Perform coil folds, preshape, final shaping, scoring, and bake-off
Maintain accurate production numbers and follow daily prep lists
Keep the workspace organized, clean, and efficient throughout the shift
Support smooth production flow and communicate clearly with the team
Uphold our standards for consistency, craft, and beautiful bread
What We’re Looking For
2+ years experience in a sourdough or artisan bread bakery (required)
Strong understanding of fermentation, dough development, and hydration
Ability to work quickly, cleanly, and with attention to detail
Experience shaping and handling high-hydration dough (80–95%+)
Reliability — shows up on time, ready to work, ready to learn
A collaborative, positive attitude — production is a team effort
Ability to lift 50 lbs and spend long hours on your feet
Availability for early mornings, weekends, and busy production days
