Charcoal Venice is an inviting neighborhood restaurant from Michelin-starred Chef and Owner Josiah Citrin that was inspired by the backyard barbecues he hosts on weekends for his friends and family. As the name suggests, everything is cooked indoors over live fire -- whether over charcoal or in the coals. Our guests are welcomed to a contemporary and elegant environment and warm atmosphere, driven by a friendly and knowledgeable staff.
We are looking to hire a host for the front of the house, must have prior hosting experience and knowledge with Resy and/or Open Table. We are looking for team members that value teamwork, take initiative and thrive in a high energy environment. Hosts will be expected to set the tone for the dining experience by greeting guests with warm and welcoming hospitality. Other responsibilities include seating guests, updating the reservation system throughout service, and maintaining a strong grasp on the flow of the dining room. Hosts also take water orders and help with resetting of tables when needed. Must be available nights and weekends, part time hours available.
HOST:
- Have a high sense of responsibility and passion to provide genuine hospitality
- Work in a fast paced environment while maintaining great enthusiasm
- Be a team player with strong work ethics and able to take direction
- Reliable and available for 3-4 shifts a week, including weekends and holidays
- Experience with Resy or Open Table preferred as well as experience in chef driven restaurants.
