This is job listing for a Part-time position at a motel receptionist /front desk associate at our 28-room motel just south of downtown Santa Monica.
We are looking for applicants who can work Saturday/Sunday 3:30 to 12 pm shifts but will consider an added shift.
Applicants MUST be a personable and reliable person as they will be the first point of contact for our guests and help ensure smooth daily operations. Training will be provided. Ideally we are looking for a candidate that lives near Santa Monica for easy commute to this work.
Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure
Manage check-ins and check-outs efficiently using our booking system
Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries (in person, phone, and email)
Handle reservations and room assignments
Process payments and maintain accurate records
Provide local information and recommendations to guests
Communicate with housekeeping and maintenance to coordinate room readiness
Maintain a clean, organized front desk area
Assist management with administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Previous hotel or front desk experience preferred, but not required
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Comfortable using computers and basic booking systems (training provided)
Dependable, punctual, and professional appearance
Ability to multitask and handle busy periods calmly
Flexible availability (weekends and holidays may be required)
