From Gramma's collection, we have a pair of armchairs with padded elbow rests. The back is topped by carved flowers cascading downward. Brass tacks fold the upholstery down and provide beautiful accents. Seats are very well padded. They are simply gorgeous traditional carved open armchairs with lots of character and just the touch of Old World elegance you've been looking for!
This is high end quality carpentry, sturdy and stable. The finish of the wood is perfect and smooth. The armrests and legs are carved intricately. The carved cabriolet front legs undulate softening the look. Our best guess is that the wood is walnut. Exquisite!
Set it right in the middle of a living room or guest room, in front of a fireplace. next to a window or in a corner. These chairs can probably last a lifetime because they were manufactured right! A decorator's delight! An owner's pride.
