This has a steel base drum / barrel that is polished into a seamless cylinder with a mirror finish and a VERY HEAVY marble top with an unusual doubled bullnose edge.
Don't let the lighting and/or angles of the pictures fool you. It's perfectly straight, and polishes up with a piece of cloth, but instead of doing it in a way that might not be to your choosing, I will leave the method of polishing it up to you, its new owner.
This came out of a home that contained two other Brueton pieces, and so Brueton or Thayer Coggin / Milo Baughman is my best bet as to who manufactured it. That being said, I cannot say with absolute certainty who made this piece.
