This lovely burlwood antique Sheraton-style bowfront chest of drawers or sideboard is crafted from rich mahogany. characteristic of the Federal period in American design, often dating to the early 19th century (circa 1820-1840).
known for its elegant, symmetrical design and turned legs.
With a distinctive flame grain on the drawer fronts, and reeded or spiral-turned columns on the sides, and a scalloped apron or skirt. The drawers feature quality construction details like hand-cut dovetails and period-hand engraved brass gold pulls.
The accompanied vanity mirror has a hand carved floral base with decorative carvings. The mirror has no chips, and has an interesting patina on the mirror caused by age.... both sold together.
