Vintage, hand-painted, iridescent, pearlescent, lusterware look, glazed bulb bowl or vase for ikebana. This beautiful bowl could also be used to hold fruit like persimmons or oranges to create a beautiful orange and blue 'scene'. If it is used as a bulb dish, it is meant to force bulbs like narcissus in small stones and water.

This piece is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. it is also very heavy for its size.

The seal on the bottom of the bowl is a circle stating Hand Painted Japan around an inner circle of three stars. It is supported on five short feet.

Dimensions: 8.5 inches wide by 2.75 inches tall.
