Small animal hospital (dog and cat) in Santa Monica looking to hire a full-time and/or part- time veterinary receptionist with 1 year + experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience (at least one year) working at a front desk in an animal hospital. They must excel at customer service both on the phone and in person. They will have excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. This person must be able to effectively communicate with clients and coworkers; he or she must also have a strong work ethic; be accountable, dependable and mature; have strong computer skills (knowledge of Cornerstone system is a must); be able to work independently; and, most importantly, have a passion for helping animals and their human counterparts.
Duties include (but not limited to): Answer multi-line phones, greet clients, schedule appointments, manage paperwork, process and collect payment, fax information, complete invoices/ estimates, keep exam rooms (2) and lobby tidy, call clients, send follow-up emails and reminders, schedule employees, order supplies, train employees, grow the business, make Facebook postings (need to be creative), and file charts and information. This job can be full or part-time.
This is a small, first-class, hospital with a handful of employees, so we're looking for someone who will complement our team. The candidate must have at least one(1) year of veterinary hospital experience. The current hours of operation are 8:30am - 6pm Monday - Saturday; but these hours will be expanded eventually to include some later evenings and Sunday.
