Pera Tile is a wholesale tile distributor serving trade professionals and retailers throughout Southern California. We carry an extensive catalog of porcelain, ceramic, and natural stone products, and our sample and display program is a critical part of how our customers discover and sell our lines.
The Role
We're looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Tile Merchandising & Sample Specialist to join our team. You'll be the person who brings our product to life — building grouted concept boards, assembling dealer displays, and preparing labeled samples that represent our brand to customers and showrooms. With a large and growing SKU catalog, precision and consistency matter in every piece you produce.
What You'll Do
Day to day, you'll cut tile to size, apply adhesive and grout, and finish concept boards that showcase our collections in a clean, professional presentation. You'll build and maintain dealer boards that display product lines for our wholesale partners. You'll label all samples and displays accurately, matching SKUs, color names, and series information without error. You'll manage your workspace, tools, and materials inventory to keep production moving efficiently. As new collections launch, you'll work with the sales and marketing team to get samples and displays ready on schedule.
What We're Looking For
Prior experience working with tile is required — cutting, gluing, grouting, and finishing. Candidates with a background in tile installation, showroom fabrication, or similar hands-on tile work will be strongly considered. You must be comfortable using tile saws, nippers, and hand tools safely and precisely. Strong attention to detail is non-negotiable; with the volume of SKUs we carry, every label, every grout line, and every board needs to be right. You should be someone who takes pride in the quality of your finished work. The ability to manage multiple sample projects at once and keep things organized is important. Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently once trained.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with different tile materials — porcelain, ceramic, natural stone, glass. Experience with visual merchandising or dealer display assembly.
