We are seeking a highly capable and detail-driven Part-Time Legal Secretary to support a busy litigation-focused law practice. This position requires someone who thrives in a structured environment, is exceptionally organized, and has strong, hands-on experience working in a law office.
This role is ideal for an individual who is dependable, professional, and comfortable working closely with one attorney in a small shared workspace.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, format, and file legal documents (pleadings, motions, correspondence, etc.)
Maintain and organize case files, calendars, and deadlines
Assist with electronic and in-person court filings
Manage attorney scheduling, communications, and general administrative tasks
Interact professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
Provide general office support within a small, tight-knit work setting
Minimum Requirements

Fully proficient with Mac computers and Mac-based software
Significant prior experience working in a law office is REQUIRED
Applicants without real law-office experience will not be considered
Experience limited to personal injury claims processing, Workers’ Compensation, or Immigration is not applicable for this position
Extremely well organized, detail-focused, and comfortable in a litigation-paced environment
Punctual and reliably available for the fixed schedule of 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday
This is a 100% in-office position — no work-from-home under any circumstances
Hours are not flexible, except for true emergencies
